Parker Knoll at Caseys
From humble beginnings as an apprentice chair maker in his father's furniture factory, Frederick Parker honed his craft through the late nineteenth century, eventually including among his clients famous figures from George V and Queen Mary to Emperor Haile Selassie. The regal sensibilities that defined his distinctive designs remain the cornerstone of the company that continues to bear his name today.
Pairing in the 1930s with German aviator Willi Knoll, whose uncomfortable experience in the cockpits of WWI fighter planes—so the legend goes—led him to develop a new form of coiled-steel sprung furniture, Parker Knoll was born. Meeting the ergonomic innovation of Knoll’s patented seating technology with the tested expertise of Parker’s manufacturing processes, the new company quickly came to the fore of international furniture design.
Today, almost a century and a half of experience continues to make itself felt in the unerringly alluring style of Parker Knoll’s iconic ranges of reclining chairs and sofas, as well as their wide selections of opulent wing chairs and sublime static sofas. Meeting timeless appeal with a contemporary sensibility, Parker Knoll furniture promises unparalleled comfort by way of the best in internationally-sourced materials.
