This once-off, hand-crafted rug has travelled many miles from the far East of the world to arrive at our doorstep here at Caseys. Each rug is as unique as it is impressive, oozing class and character with its own personal story accumulated from its distance travelled and exclusive production method. Bringing individuality to your home, this rug will personify the enriching story that this exquisite art form carries with it.
Hand woven by master weavers in villages surrounding the famous city of Esfehan some 450 km south of the capital city of Tehran. Rugs woven in Esfehan date back to the 16 th Century and are amongst the finest rugs in the world today. Esfehan rugs are famous for the intricate "Arabesque " motifs and artistic styles and attention to detail and vibrant colours .Many of the motifs depict spiritual meanings e.g ."Tree of Life " depicts Longevity, "Lotus flower "depicts Purity.
